Eduardo Ruiz de Castañeda, was born on December the 22th, 1954, in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona), town where he lives. Since he was a child he was mad about painting, making his first exposition when he was eighteen years old. Since then he has made several expositions, in New York, in Toulouse, in Barcelona, etc.

He is a Mediterranean painter, self-taught, with a very difficult technique which combines hiperrealism in the main part, a little piece from reality scattered in everyday life, where he concentrates our attention, going with another part made of dots, in black ink, it makes a whole unique and characteristic from this painter. As a result from the combination of a complex draw, colour, Black and White, textures, lights and shadows, a piece of work of an exquisite sensitivity, realism and depurated technique.
