Sensei Eduardo R. de Castañeda García, with the help from his Sensei Masayuki Kuninaga, inaugurated the Castañeda gymnasium in 1976, being the first karate gymnasium from the Garraf area (Barcelona) and one of the pioneers in the whole Spain. At present is one of the most important karate gymnasiums in Catalonia, being lots of its students among the bests of our country.
Kuninaga Kai association was created in 2003, which is presided by Eduardo Ruiz de Catañeda having its location in Vilanova i la Geltrú.
