Eduardo Ruiz de Castañeda, was born on December the 22th, 1954, in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona), town where he lives. When he was eighteen was initiated into the World of Karate in the Army Cultural Centre (Barcelona), under Sensei Masayuki Kuninaga, guidance, becoming katas and kumite competitor. In 1976 inaugurated in Vilanova the first Dojo in Garraf area, with the help of his Sensei Masayuki Kuninaga. Is a National Judge Arbiter and National Coach, and his students are among the firsts from our country.

He combines karate practice with painting, being a renowned artist.
